You are now able to make a video call to your Snapchat followers thanks to the latest Snapchat update. You both need to be running on the latest version to make the call possible. Launched in March 2016, it a pretty new feature and you can get this updates in your app store.
First, open a conversation with the friend you want to video call. This is because these calls are only initiated from the chat screen. If it’s your first time, you will be notified that mobile data would be used if you not in a wifi zone. The one you are calling will be notified immediately if they have set notifications. Without notifications, they will only see it if they are currently using Snapchat. If you on the receiving end, you can tap ‘watch’ to see the caller but not show yourself, tap ‘Join’ to send a video back as you join the call, or ‘ignore’ option to return the message of ‘busy’ to the caller.
It is important to tell your Snapchat followers in advance if you intend to video call them. Also, confirm that your area supports this as it’s not available everywhere.
